Oxygen-free waste gas

Several waste gas streams: highly contaminated oxygen-free and medium waste gas

Example: chemical industry

Similar tasks: petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries

A producer of synthetic rubber creates a medium waste gas as well as a highly contaminated oxygen-free waste gas which contains primarily low hydrocarbons. The main waste gas stream is purified in a regenerative thermal oxidizer (RTO), while the oxygen-free waste gas passes through the CTP burner in the RTO oxidation chamber. As the highly contaminated oxygen-free waste gas only hits oxygen in the oxidation chamber, this waste gas stream can be disposed of safely.

The economic advantage: Due to the storage properties of CTP's ceramic heat exchangers, the energy potential of the oxygen-free waste gas contributes considerably to a reduction of the operating costs.

Conclusion: Explosive oxygen-free waste gases are disposed of and contribute to the oxidation process of the contaminants.
